Ha.
No, there’s more to that anecdote.
I had a boss once who used to send his underlings email that read in their entirety, “See me.” I always found this unsettlingly vague and unneccessarily ominous. A few more words of context would have saved hours of anxiety. Later, I realized he well knew this. If Knowledge is Power, as my favorite Christopher Dresser design suggests, he was keeping both close for himself. Anyway, that’s one reason why I hate having a boss. Me? I’m not stingy with information. Especially when that information is when I’ll be speaking or presenting or reading or whatever it is I do these days.
