So keen was I to bare my soul in the last newsletter that I neglected to do that for which this newsletter was meant. Which is, promote promote promote. (Actually, though this newsletter is meant to promote, it’s also an experiment to see whether memoir-writing might be a worthwhile pursuit. So far, I think so? I already have a title “Close Enough: A Memoir of Intimacy.” Thoughts?!?!)
ANYWAY, I’m getting distracted. So before I do, I have a bunch of book launch events and interviews and panels etc… coming up. You should come to all of them. You, as in my readership such as it is. Or hell, you. You, reader, come to it all.
First up, my handsome friend Dan Saks has a new book coming out, We Share This Earth. We’re having a book launch event at the Lofty Pigeon in Brooklyn on February 29 at 6:30 PM. It’s free. [Come!]
I have a new book coming out, Jang: The Soul of Korean Cooking, with Mingoo Kang and Nadia Cho. We have a book launch event at Moono — the most beautiful restaurant in New York, imo — coming up on March 11 at 6:30pm. It’s not free. [Come again!]
We’re also doing a demo and dine at Platform by JBF the following night, March 12 at 6pm. It’s $95. Woah. But worth it! [Come so hard!]

And then we’re going to have some events in San Francisco and Los Angeles, too.
In San Fran, we’re pulling up to Omnivore Books, my favorite bookstore, on March 16th at 3pm. It’s free. [Viens!]
In Los Angeles, we have two events, both with Baroo — fun fact, Mina Park is a character in my children’s book Lunch from Home and also an amazing person. The first, on March 18 is more cocktails and conversation [Come. Eventually. Don’t have a link yet.]
The next night, March 19, Baroo is hosting a prix fixe dinner for Jang, which will be a real banger. It might even be a bop. [I don’t know how you could possible come any more but if you have it in you, I’ll see you there. ]
